This is news to me, so I thought I’d pass it along. We all want to make sure we earn as many points as possible, especially with every day spending. Verizon Wireless services count as a 5x category in the Chase Ink series of cards as they fall under cellular phone service:
Earn 5X points per $1 on the first $50,000 spent in combined purchases at office supply stores and on cellular phone, landline, internet and cable TV services each account anniversary year.^
If you happen to make any accessory purchases with Verizon Wireless, there’s an option to have all the accessories be billed to your account instead of straight to the credit card.
The screenshot below will display my purchase, albeit with everything redacted, will be billed to my account.
