Bluebird Resolution




Yesterday, I posted Bluebird Problems? and my worst fear was some sort of shut down.

I called the number, 1 800 660 2454, today and did not even hear the phone ring because it was picked up immediately. Someone answered the phone and identified it was Bluebird Account Services. She spoke clear English with a Southern accent. She wanted confirmation on the following:

  • Bluebird card #
  • Four digit security code on the front of the card
  • Last four of the Social Security Number
  • Verify phone number on record
Because I was using my work phone to call Bluebird, and after verifying the phone number, she called my cell phone number to confirm my identity again. Once satisfied, she stated that my account was flagged as an account for “identity concern.” I asked her what would flag it, but she stated she did not know. It sounds to me that is a different department who are non customer facing.
After the call, I tested my account with the bill pay I was trying to do and completed successfully.

Was it because of my account activity? Loading the Bluebird with a different name when using a debit card? Possibly logging into Bluebird with three different IP addresses?
