The other day, I had mentioned I hit a small snag on the free after rebates on Newegg, I thought there would be a quick fix to the current script by changing the link and then join up by the Newegg ID number. It turns out that there’s over 800+ pages of active instant rebates and the script locked up.
Since the mail in rebate dataset is smaller, that needs to be downloaded first then take the item number and feed into the instant rebates for the best calculation for final price. I’ll have to take a look and get that fixed, should be a pretty fast one. Ideally, Newegg should have it as a feature to display it without needing to use up bandwidth unnecessarily.
Yes, it is pretty annoying that often the total discount in the product page varies from the rebates shown on the rebate page. (Its mostly lower). Wish they would provide this data more easily, I’d buy so much more from them..
Agreed! It also doesn’t help that there are coupon codes floating around that on affiliates have that make it free after the rebate

I see what you mean. The current # of MIR = 613. Newegg’s system does not supply all the discounts easily, perhaps intentionally. I am working on something and am almost done with a rough version that will process all the data.
