I would only use a gift card to buy a MoneyPak if you are forced to use a debit card AND the gift cards were purchased at a discount, enough to absorbed the extra cost of the $4.95 fee. I like to buy all the reload packs without having to go into Walmart.
For the double dip, the first gift card is to buy the Gift Card Mall store gift card @ 2%, then on the second round purchase the gift card that you really want to fulfill the double dip.
