Since receiving my Sapphire Preferred card in October, my regular Sapphire has been sitting on my bookshelf collecting dust. Recently, I called Chase to convert my Sapphire into a Freedom Mastercard World. There was the choice of a Platinum or World, I decided to do the World as the platinum had rental collision, but was secondary and lacked many of the consumer protections.
She outlined that I would still be eligible for all of rotating quarterly bonuses exactly like my Chase Freedom Visa. I forgot to ask about the Chase Exclusives, but there are reports on FlyerTalk that they will be changing on April 1. Instead of 10% + 10 points per transaction, it will be a 10% dividend similar to the Sapphire Preferred with a 7% dividend.
