How am I making money with this card?
The gift card sites that I buy and sell from mostly accept MasterCard or Visa. If they accepted American Express, I would be making money with my Starwood Preferred Guest as well.
Why will I stop using the Citi AA card?
Because SPG has the 25% bonus when transferring to an airline, it is almost like earning 1.25 AA miles per $1. In addition, if I spent $30,000 in one calendar year, I would be upgraded to SPG Gold. The Citi Platinum Select does not offer any high spend bonuses.
How will I make money with the SPG card?
I will be buying PayPal My Cash Card and use my PayPal debit card for 1% cash back and use the debit card at the card at sites that will accept only MasterCard or Visa.
When will I use the Citi AA card?
When Citi targets me for spending bonuses or any AA related purchases/activity like redemption.
