The other day I tried to load my Serve card and was prompted with:
You have the following errors.
We are unable to complete your request at this time. Beginning Feb 6, 2013 Serve card activation is required for all new customers to add money using a debit card, credit card, or bank account. If your Serve card has been activated or you applied prior to Feb 6, 2013, please call customer service at 1-800-555-4318. Your Serve card will be delivered within 7-10 business days of your application.
The message was clear that I needed to call because I had activated and applied before Feb 6, 2013. Just like calling the Bluebird’s Account Services, the customer service rep answered immediately and identified it was a recorded line and asked me the same questions as my post in Bluebird Resolution. In fact, everything was identical except they said this was Serve.
After the five minute phone call, everything is good to go with my Serve account. After the freeze was lifted, I was able to load a MoneyPak on it successfully.
