The other week I went into the bank and applied for the United Explorer card and was instantly approved for the 50,000 United miles offer. The credit limit is $4,200 and instead of the Visa Signature card, I have a plain, vanilla Visa Platinum card.
Unlike some online offers where if you do not meet certain criterion you will receive a lesser offer. It is not the case with the United Explorer card. All of the benefits like primary collision coverage, Luxury Hotel & Resort, etc. are the same.
On the same day, I also applied online for the US Bank Flexperks and was approved for that as well. I was thinking about churning gift cards through Flexperks and Plastic Jungle, but lately I have been having second thoughts churning gift cards.
