In the coming weeks, it will be three months since my last round of applications. By that time, the refinance I had mentioned should be complete. I mentioned that I will not apply for mainstream cards.
As a recap, here are my active cards:
- Chase Amazon
- Chase United MileagePlus Explorer
- Chase Sapphire Preferred
- Chase Freedom Visa
- Chase Freedom Mastercard
- Chase British Airways
- Chase Ink Bold
- Citi Forward
- Citi AAdvantage Visa
- Barclays Lufthansa Miles & More
- Bank of America Alaska Airlines Personal
- Bank of American Alaska Airlines Business
- American Express Starwood Preferred Guest Business
- American Express Hilton
- Discover It
- US Bank Flexperks
- US Bank Cash+
Cards that I want to get, but will not make the cut:
- Barclay’s Arrival
- Chase Hyatt
- New American Express EveryDay card
- American Express Premier Rewards Gold
The above cards that are not making the cut were pretty easy to decide. These two cards I’m not sure what to do: Old Amex Blue or American Express Business Rewards Gold. I’m having a tough time for American Express.
The Old Amex Blue, I’m not even interested in churning it because the 5% back after $6,500 spend is a great deal. I want the Business Rewards Gold for the Membership Rewards and bonus category spend and earn some Membership Rewards.
I’m pretty sure I’ve just hit my credit line limit with Chase, but most importantly, if I were approved for the Hyatt card I would be able to use the Hyatt certificates wisely. I currently have no vacation plans to use that within the expiry terms.
Stay tuned for the cards that I will apply to.
