My favorite sites to follow

I’ve read quite a few articles on travel in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, and many other publications and am jealous of all the travels everyone has done. (Un)Fortunately, my job does not require me to travel and there are a few exotic locales I’d love to visit. In the last few months of searching for cheap airfare I realized the power of credit card points. I began researching and I found out that travelling can be very cheap and affordable. Because I like to help others out, I started writing this blog for the goal of: maximize credit card points for free/cheap travel or get cash back.

Searching through the Internet I’ve come across upon these sites as my favorite:

The Frequent Miler – his high analysis of points and how to earn more is remarkable
Mile Value – another great blog with analysis of points
Flyer Talk – great forum/community to find more information like awesome deals
Ultimate Rewards Bonuses – tells you what the vendors bonuses are on Ultimate Rewards. HikerT from flyer talk maintains this great site
EVReward – EVreward, EV for expected value, is a great site to figure out which portal is best to choose from

There’s still a few more sites out there, but I’m going to add a widget on the front page so you can easily find them.
