This week’s Monday’s queries were not as exciting as most of the searches have been repeats from previous Monday’s. Here’s the best ones:
Does Visa Buxx Require SSN? – Yes they all do. Of the flavors, I have the US Bank and Nationwide. For more information, see Visa Buxx Flavors and Nationwide Visa Buxx vs US Bank Visa Buxx
Who else besides Plastic Jungle buys and sells gift cards? – There is Cardpool and ABC Gift Cards. I recommend checking out Gift Card Granny. I’ve sold to Cardpool successfully in the past many times. I’ve tried ABC once, but they rejected my cards, and I don’t like their process of mailing gift cards. They have you sign a contract, which I don’t mind, but they don’t offer free postage and the pages to fulfill the order will add up the cost of gift card churning.
American Express Campus Edition Temporary Card – This wasn’t a question, but whoever searched for it, what would you like to know? I’ve used the temporary card at the CVS self check out that had $250 on it, and the POS automatically took $250 off and asked for the next form of payment. Also here’s a tip when using the temporary card. When the cashier asks to see the credit card, show them your permanent Campus Edition card. They look almost identical and you can tell them that this is only a temporary.
Citi American Airlines Gift Card Purchases Cash Advance – Everyone is worried about buying gift cards using a Citibank card for the fears of cash advance. I would be weary if the purchase is online from any places that sell only gift cards. Giftcardmall.com seems to be an exception from what I’ve seen online. If you use any Citi cards on places like Staples.com or in store to purchase gift cards it will be coded correctly as a merchant and not as a cash advance. Keep in mind, anytime a credit card use with the PIN would be an automatic cash advance transaction.
I’ve been using cardpool.com (going thru shopathome.com) for an additional 2% cashback… no issues to date other than needing $20 balance to “cash out” your shopathome.com account.
Thanks for the tip!
My most unusual search query leading to my site this week: “how to draw a sewer grate”.
Were you able to find out how to draw the sewer gate?
