What MileMadness Has Taught Me

As we are closing out March, there are a few things that I learned in the #milemadness competition.

  • I like working at my own pace instead of trying to massively accrue points within a month
  • Limited time techniques to earn points come and go quickly like the Office Max or Staples free money deals
  • Malls’ vendors come and go like Kohl’s from the Ultimate Rewards mall
  • Our (all of us that have participated in #milemadness) techniques are not secrets, contrary to what everyone thinks. It’s publicly available, but you, the reader, need to put thought into the process and manufactured spending will come quickly and easily
  • I realize that better tools to manufacture spend are not available

With the last bullet, I have decided that I want to take this blog in a direction where I spend more time in developing the tools in the manufactured spend sphere. Earlier this month when the developer and I created the tool in Chasing The Points milemadness Secret Revealed, I had a lot of fun and learned quite a bit in the process. This new path will not be easy, but I want to shed light in new areas so that you too can add new tools to your toolbox.

  • Well, I hope you idiots are happy. No more Vanillas with credit card at CVS. People tried to warn you bloggers that a public competition would bring unwanted attention to this hobby, and it did. Thanks for killing the golden goose.

  • Would you mind emailing me the password? I tweeted at you but I don’t think I got a response. Thanks!
