When I first enrolled for the American Express BlueBird, I also enrolled in their Serve product. My Serve account was held in limbo for about a week on verifications. I called AMEX to find out the status and they advised me that I could only have either the BlueBird or Serve because they are similar products. I told them to close out my Serve application because I wanted the BlueBird more.
Last week, American Express emailed me saying that I was approved for a Serve account and my card was in the mail which I just received the other day and activated after a rather lengthy phone call. I am now a cardholder of both Serve and BlueBird.
I am going to enjoy chasing the points with this latest opportunity. Now I must think creatively for new and cheap ways of buying points.
