Gift Card Zen has a ton of $250 Walmart e-gift cards for 2.79% or 2.81% off. Most gift card exchanges have Walmart cards at 2% or less off.
You could apply up to four gift cards per Walmart order.
The $200 Visa gift cards have a $6.88 fee which equates to 3.44%, but if you snap up all of the Walmart gift cards, and buy the Visa gift cards, the fee drops down to .65% a great deal for manufactured spend. It’s also nice to see that they accept American Express. That means you could potentially purchase Starwood Preferred Guest points at $.003/point.
It’s weird that when you add the cards to the cart, that the purchase price is cheaper at 2.81% off.
If it’s 2.81% off, the Visa Prepaid card becomes a .63% fee and the cost per point would still be $.003/point.
I want to point out that ordering through Raise and TopCashBack for Walmart gift cards could actually become profitable, but the amounts of low value gift cards at Raise complicate the ordering process on the Walmart side.
I also want to mention that I will not be participating because of $200 denomination cards are not easy for me to liquidate because of the very limited Walmart to liquidate via money orders.
Does Walmart have a limit about the total amount of gift card (less than $2000?, otherwise need to fill out some sort of form so you can buy more?) you can buy per day?
I couldn’t tell you, I’ve never run up an amount that high in one day. If I recall correctly, I’ve purchased $800 in one day without any extra scrutiny.
The only place that ever put extra validation was Neiman Marcus and they asked for my driver’s license when I bought $1,500 in one transaction
Any experience if these are able to be used in store ?
Could be nice to pick up some of the $500 VGC in store. At current prices, after fee it nets you around $10 per $500 gift card you purchase, plus the points. Multiple this by 10 to hit the BB limit for the month, and you have $100 + Credit Card points. All of that hinges on the fact if these can be used in store. Walmart.com says they can…
I’ve never used any of the gift cards in the store, so I cannot comment on that, but you’re right, with the $500 max value the % in terms of fees decrease and savings increase because of the discounted gift cards
