If you have the Barclay’s US Airways Mastercard, you should check your emails. The other day I received this from Barclay’s regarding my US Airways card:
Use your US Airways Dividend Miles MasterCard October 1 through December 31, 2013 and earn 2 bonus miles for every $1 you spend—up to 2,500 bonus miles—on purchases you already make in the following categories¹:
• Gas Station purchases
• Restaurant purchases (including fast food)
• Department, Toy or Game store purchasesBest of all, this is in addition to the miles you already earn for using your card every day.
In order for me to hit the max bonus, I’d need to spend $1250 in those categories. As much as I am inclined to receive bonus miles, the 2x is not as compelling as Mommy Points, who is set to receive 5x in the same categories! If Barclay’s had sent me 5x, I’d be all over it.
