It’s been asked a couple of times in the comments section if I had tried out purchasing e-gift cards. Generally speaking, when I buy gift cards I primarily buy the physical cards because when sold, there is the option of mailing it in or selling it as an e-code.
I also tend to shy away from e-codes redemption when selling because the buyer, Cardpool, etc. could charge a premium. When churning gift cards, the margins are already tight and that is why I do not buy e-gift cards. In the past, it was a 5% difference. Today, Cardpool has lowered it to a 2% spread.
When Plastic Jungle was around, I would buy e-gift cards.
