American Express has an offer where you purchase $200 or more at Neiman Marcus and you will receive $50 back as seen below.
Current rates that you can sell Neiman Marcus for is up to 85%.
If you buy just $200 the $50 back means you will be buying the gift cards at 75% of the face value. That means you will be earning at least 10% back. If you do the physical gift card route like I did, there is a $5 service fee per card. In the end the physical gift card route the pay out would be 80% and you would earn 5% back.
The best part about buying the Neiman Marcus gift card is receiving 7x back from Chase’s Ultimate Rewards Mall.

I have not. Ever since Plastic Jungle stopped doing a B2C (business to consumer) model — I generally do not buy e-gift cards because of the extra fees that sites charge for taking in an e-gift card code.
I did an e-gc to see if a double dip could work, no luck.

In UR site I can see the below message that says Purchase of Gift cards are not eligible to get the bonus of 7X. But you mentioned you get those points . Did I miss anything ?

Thanks. No, you didn’t miss anything. That statement is often posted on the T&C for many vendors, however, it’s tough to predict which vendor will post or not until after trying it out.
Sometimes the T&C mean you will not earn points when you buy gift cards. Other times it’s you will not earn points when using gift cards. It’s a big trial and error process.

No luck to me with Chase UR . I did not get the UR points yet. I got the gift cards and the Amex statement credit of $50. I am ending up with around $10. But no valuable UR points.

While the terms and conditions say that you need to use your Chase card, it’s not enforced.
