Why It’s So Awesome:
You would earn 2x Membership Rewards points on shipping and select computer vendors. In addition, you can earn an extra 2x Membership Rewards or 5% off shipping with FedEx. That means you could earn up to 4x on shipping up to $20,000 per calendar year.
How To Take Advantage:
One way that I would take advantage of the deal is to purchase free after rebate (FAR) items and auction the items off on eBay with a very low “Buy It Now” price and have the buyer pay for shipping. I would be willing to sell at a small loss, but the buyer needs to pay for shipping. At this time, I do not participate in FAR deals, but plan to for the cheap points and open myself to more avenues of manufactured spending.
- Buy from Staples using Ink for 5x Ultimate Reward points
- Buy from Tiger Direct or Newegg using Business Rewards Gold (two retailers part of the select computer vendors) for 2x Membership Rewards
- Check Out Big Habitat’s posts for ways to resell and when shipping use FedEx and your Business Rewards Gold card
Another way for the shipping category bonus is to take part of gift card churning, but I will explain that in a later post.

No, CTP is not my full time job. Thinking about MS’ing has become a full time gig. Figuring out a theory and then putting it into play and it works is where I find the fun
