After a successful smaller ResellingDOse in Las Vegas, we’re putting together a bigger event–but capped to 65 attendees–the first ever at a hotel! Its a bit of a break from restaurants and breweries, but, I like to keep changing things up.
ResellingDO 5 takes on Orlando
That’s right folks, you read that right, we’re leaving the Baltimore, MD area for the second ResellingDO in a row, this time heading down to the sourcing treasure trove that is Orlando! Here are the details:
- When: Saturday, August 12th, 2017
- What: A full day of networking, presentations on reselling covering topics such as scaling, Merch by Amazon, and niche sourcing.
- Where: Hyatt Place Orlando Airport
- Tickets: Buy your ResellingDO 5 Tickets here
We’ll of course be enjoying lunch and the hallmark of ResellingDO’s, an evening reception.
As we get closer that we’ll also be looking to include “no-host” meet-ups on Friday evening, and as is typical, groups usually form for dinner after the event.
Also of note, we’ve arranged for a $99 rate at the host hotel, the Hyatt Place Orlando Airport, and, if you’d rather use points, its only 5,000 points per night!
Reselling DO 5 Speakers
I’m very excited to announce that we will have at least three speakers that have never spoken at a previous ResellingDO event. All three bring an enormous amount of experience in the space.
- Hans Mast – Lessons Learned from Scaling Up
- Haley Bach – Merch by Amazon
- Kenny Burrows – Small Town Sourcing
If you’re not sure what you’ll get from ResellingDO 5, here are some thoughts from ResellingDO 3 to give you an idea. Overall, there is excellent value with the people you meet, the networking, as well as with the awesome line-up of speakers that we have. Perhaps I’m a bit biased, but I think this is going to be the best event yet!
Will you be at ResellingDO 5?
I live in the area and have considered Reselling. I have never gotten into or even tried it. Is it worth joining this event, or is this tailored to those who have experience.
Thomas, to be honest, the event is a mix. Its mostly geared toward those who have been doing reselling in one form or another. That said, if this is something you’re interested, I’d recommend that you review: http://saverocity.com/taggingmiles/beginners-guide-to-fulfillment-by-amazon-start-here/ — there’s plenty of time to get started before the event, if you like.
Bought my ticket within 20 minutes of getting the notification email about this post. Since I’ll be driving, I won’t have any embarrassing tipsy moments like I did at the first one!
@MMKate – Awesome! Can’t wait to see you, though, have you considered an Uber? Could be more fun!

We stayed at the Hyatt Place MCO a few months ago and it was by far the worst Place we have ever stayed at. Breakfast was terrible and the place was busy all day long. We skipped breakfast on our last night and just went to a close fast food joint. It’s cheap for a reason 😉
BTW, why is Orlando so good for sourcing? I didn’t find it very good for what I sell.
@Ken – What do you source? I’ve found there to be a bunch of big box stores in close proximity, which generally speaking means, I at least find something. Also, I stayed at the Hyatt Place MCO last year and found it to be fine.. but we just grabbed breakfast sandwiches to go.
When did you go? We were there right after Xmas so the Disney crowds swamped the place. Breakfasts were awful. Nothing but screaming kids running up and down hallways and we were on the top floor far from the elevator. I don’t know why their parents think that’s acceptable behavior, but whatever. For 5k points I’d likely still stay there again. We stayed at the cheap Carlson property around the block for cheap too and it was only slightly better a few days earlier.
I do mostly toys, and Orlando is terrible when it comes to ToysRus, Wm,Target, etc stores. It’s a royal pain getting from one to another, and you’ll have to drive on 3+ toll roads each way for a trip and that adds up fast. Even with Denver’s insane taxes and sky high $4 to go 3 miles road tolls there’s still denser stores. I researched several cities since we’re moving.
Where do you currently live?
I was there I think April? August is the tail end of the summer season, I suspect it could go either way from a kids standpoint.. and you are right about tollways, they are faster than the local routes.
Will you discuss GiftCard reselling (manufactured spending) at this event? I’m new and want to learn the tricks of the trade.
Chris, We haven’t decided, but for the most part this event will be focused on product reselling, which has a lot higher potential for profit and points (in my experience).

Hey Trevor….Do you have another ResellingDO planned? I would love to come and learn!!
Hi Amy! I’m still planning one at the moment, but it is not yet ready to announce. Hopefully sometime in the next few weeks, we will have everything together enough to announce!
