Travel:
- Dia did a Twitter Party like thing, I missed it (something about being on a plane), but the highlights were informative and interesting to me.
- God Save the Points talks about the cost of a business class seat.
- The Australia Business Traveller reports Malaysia Airlines reveals their new business class, that should be able to compete with the likes of Cathay Pacific and Qantas Business offerings.
- Enter to win a seat on one of Norwegian Air Shuttle’s inaugural flights from the US to the Caribbean! Pizza in Motion has the details.
- It isn’t clear whether DOT is ready to let American Airlines return to providing service to Australia.
- American Airlines will return to Haneda, this time from LAX. The timing isn’t great, although as Gary Leff points out, you can arrive in LA, the day before you leave Tokyo.
Miles and Points:
- FrequentMiler via BigHabitat report that Discover may be preparing to clawback cash back from Discover Deals when a Discover card isn’t used. Frankly, I have no issue using Discover a bunch lately with all the stacking promos. But beware.
- American will give you fewer redeemable miles when you fly British Airways or Iberia starting next year. But some status earnings improves.
