SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA–After an on-again, off-again romance that spanned years, world famous blogger Brian Kelly, also known as The Points Guy, has finally tied the knot with his Chase Sapphire Preferred card.
The couple took their vows in a lavish ceremony attended by a who’s who of the points and miles world. Attendees included Daraius from Million Mile Secrets, Rick from the Frugal Travel Guy, Gary from View From the Wing, Matt from Saverocity, George from Travel Blogger Buzz, and JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon. Mr. Kelly wore slippers from a Qantas first class amenities kit and a Ritz-Carlton bathrobe, while the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card wore an elegant RFID-blocking stainless steel credit card case.
The event was briefly disrupted when a disheveled Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite MasterCard® showed up, uninvited, and began shouting incoherently before being removed by security.
South Dakota, widely known as a bank-friendly state, is the only state that allows marriages between people and financial products. In a high-profile case, an anonymous blogger has recently petitioned the courts there to allow marriage to his Amazon Associates link.
After the ceremony was concluded, the entire party immediately jetted to Dallas for a reception at the Amex Centurion Lounge. For their honeymoon the happy couple will stay at Six Amazing Hotels You Must Visit On Points in South Dakota.

The Onion wants its template back. Seriously, though: outstanding work. The callback to the Hawaiian card was a masterstroke, as was the inclusion of George, who will likely swoon at being mentioned in such august (Titans) company.

Outstanding.
I assume they are registered at Sam’s Club so they can take advantage of the new Freedom categories when they want to swing & spice things up.

Eh. Trying too hard. I know you don’t care but it smacks of jealously AND borderline offensive considering Brian’s sexual orientation and your mention of “South Dekota” being a friendly state for marriage between people and financial institutions.
I’d vote you off Saverocity-island if I had a say.

Sexuality has nothing to do with this. Get over yourself. South Dakota is known for bank-friendly laws which is why Citi has operations there, not to mention that First Premier credit card with the ridiculously high fees.

Instant Classic! A refreshing read after all the Alaska related drama yesterday!

My only disappointment is that the “Six amazing hotels you must Visit On Points in South Dakota.” Link isn’t actually clickable.
Good stuff

I agree, total gay bashing/jealous post. PFD – YOU’RE FIRED!

Yeah. Yeah. April Fools to you, too.
I liked yours better than Julian’s, if it’s any consolation.

Just returned from vacation to read this gem. Admittedly though, not a single aspect of the entire trip involved the CSP. While it feels good to finally come clean, I beg for your forgiveness.
