On Credit Cards
- There’s a new cashback card in town. Its from Citi, and Matt poses the point that its either 1% + 1% or 2% or 1%. Drew poses the question of how good the Citi 1% + 1% card is, and while there are many others in the space, I think Doctor of Credit summarizes its prospects quite well – with no sign-on bonus, its only value is downgrading from another Citi product. In my opinion, its not worth a hard pull on your credit report even if you have every other card in the mile/point space.
- Kenny at Miles4More offers a more exhaustive post about many of the complaints…er..cards in the mile and point space.
Nonsequitars
- Wandering Aramean has a great round-up of the latest buy miles promotions. The thing I found most interested is in the second to last line of his post. Apparently there are now affiliate links to buy miles with bonuses.
- Drew from Travel is Free posted a great way to get more out of United Awards.
I just got back from my trip around the world, so I hope to have more thorough roundups starting again next week.
