Do Now (if you haven’t already)
- A+ Rewards (Airtran) are going away soon. There might be an exploit left if you do it soon, like, travel before 1 November 2014 soon.
Peer to Peer Credit Card Referrals
- There are a bunch of great opportunities right now for person to person credit card referrals. Most of the sign-up bonuses are not out of the ordinary, except for the Chase Ink Plus, but, worthwhile sharing them here:
- Milecards shares Chase Card Referral links (so you can refer your friends, or framily).
- You can also refer a friend for a Starwood Preferred Guest American Express.
- As an aside, I feel like every time I write or say “refer a friend” – I think of Who Wants to be a Millionaire and Phone a Friend.
Nonsequitars
- Tell Google to fix ITA Matrix! from Rapid Travel Chai
- I’m all for being comfortable in flight, but, I generally wait until after take-off to change into my Pajamas. One Mile at a Time prefers to change into his pajamas before take-off, so much so that recently he admits to changing at his seat. Just remember, this next time you feel like your First Class Suite is private…
- More on the investment side (but no less important, because, you have to plan for the future afterall), Matt wrote about reading a MorningStar Report.
- A different kind of trip, from BBC.
Manufacturing Spend
- Doctor of Credit (and nearly half the mile and point blogosphere) posted about the potentiality of Facebook offering peer to peer payments. I’m not big on facebook, but this is worthy of me keeping my account.
- Doctor of Credit was on a role this week – he also had a great post on bill payment at Kmart.
- Free-quent Flyer Book has been running some of his popular posts as part of Subscription Week. He’s usually one of those on the ground floor of manufactured spending, but in my experience, he’s careful to at least make an attempt at not killing deals.
