Note – I’m currently traveling – you can follow that via Twitter, and things may be a bit quiet on the blog for the next week.

Travel:
- Some hotels cost an arm and a leg. Some only want you to enclose your wallet at checkout.
- My wife and my first trip to Sydney (and Australia as a whole) was on a $725 United Twitter Fare in 2010. We did Sydney in 80 hours, and knocked off nearly every bucket list item we had there–we’ve since been back. Ed recently did a 54 hour trip to Sydney, here’s the start of that trip report – I’m certain this is one that will be worth reading every installment of.
Miles and Points:
- FQF shares with us the travel hacking index card. Some good wisdom, in a small package.
- Hyatt Gold Passport Changes… Ugh. I’m sad to see the Hyatts in Incheon and Santiago going up to Category 3, but am happy to see a number of hotels such as Kuala Lumpur going down in categories. These updates are always a balance, and it looks, from a quick review, that Hyatt is faily balanced.
- Frequent Miler discusses another option for getting a Chase Credit Card, in the new 5/24 world. Of course, it breaks one of my cardinal rules in this game, of not mixing credit cards and bank accounts, because dire results can occur.
