As I recently wrote, I applied for the Gander Mountain credit card, offered by Comenity, to see if it might be a source of decent promotions, a la the Banana Republic credit card.
In the past few weeks I’ve received two promos. (Note: the weird trick mentioned in the headline was the act of applying for the Gander Mountain credit card. How many other people do you know who have done that? Pretty weird, right? Shameless clickbait, I know, and shame on you for falling for it.) Here’s the first one:
Four points on gas isn’t world-changing, but it’s not bad either. (Note that points are worth one cent each–two thousand points equal one $20 gift certificate.) I checked the fine print and it seems to be uncapped.
Here’s the second one:
This one is uncapped as well, for what it’s worth. My household doesn’t have enough expenses in either gas or travel for this to be worthwhile for me, but it’s not a bad start compared to some other retail cards I’ve tried out.
I know this isn’t the most exciting post in the world, but for those of you who complain that every blogger recycles the same crap over and over again: I hope you enjoyed your thrilling Gander Mountain credit card update. You’re going to read this, and you’re going to like it. In fact, you’re going to love it. You’re going to be responsible for this post going viral on social media. And remember: when it comes to excitement, the Gander Mountain card trails only the Hawaiian Airlines® World Elite MasterCard®! And possibly the Chase Sapphire Preferred®.

THAT DUDE says
So if you ms you can get a bunch of stuff for up to 75percent off(get 4%minus 1%vgc)
How horrible. Isn’t this what you wanted? Only better scenario would be 5x at grocery.
This is better than the current 2x gas promo on SpGde visa. It isn’t Premier(underated),
but this is more of starter/rebuilder anyway.Side note:Total rewards is a bit overlooked
(for an EQ at least).

Ooh man the last three months I’ve enjoyed uncapped 5X anywhere on my BR card. I got a flyer in the mail today and now they’re offering me only 2X anywhere for June. The Nerve!!!

Is there any reports of people getting a 5x offer at drugstore/grocery with this card?
pfdigest says
Haven’t heard of any yet.
