If you haven’t heard yet, George has informed us that he’s more or less shutting down TravelBloggerBuzz. Which is kind of a bummer, as there was always something interesting to read there, whether it was George himself, the links he offered up, or his commenters.
Another reason for missing the blog is that even if I missed out on an interesting blog post when it was published, any must-see would show up in George’s blog. I’ve noticed more and more bloggers putting together “week in review”-type lists with links to all sorts of stuff, so I guess George should take credit for that?
Anyway, with George winding things down, what blogs (aside from the Saverocity blogs, of course, which it goes without saying are amazing) are still essential to your daily / weekly routine? What’s the best way to keep up with this hobby without spending ten hours a day on the internet?
I like Trevors’s TaggingMiles Weekly Travel News Roundup, Doctor of Credit’s Newsletter, MileNerd’s daily emails and FrequentMiler’s Quick Deals. I’ll miss TBB 1.768 but am ready for TBB 2.0 😉 !

You are right about the weekly review type posts. Another trend I set…I just said that to feel important!
I am going to score some goals tonight in my soccer game and yell at the opposing goalie: “I am not dead yet!”. He ‘ll probably wonder WTF lol
I hope TBB does come back. I used to read it constantly, but then the comment section (and less so, the blog) was getting a bit too much of a mean spirited tone. So, I took a little break… nothing against people sparring on the internet, but no need to get my own blood pressure up if I’m not enjoying it.
I’d just recently started reading it again, the blog summaries really are top notch. It’s must-read if you want to be sure not to miss any great posts, but don’t feel like you can read all the blogs that he does.
I certainly hope it comes back. It was a unique contribution. I also like taggingmiles weekly summary, but no one keeps up with all the best blog posts like George.

What I loved about TBB – the comment wars between TBB and whoever wanted to argue with him, especially when PFDigest or Doctor Of Credit or anyone who linked back to it because I would have missed it. There were some pretty funny GIFs that were posted + some nice pictures and articles found on the interwebs
