Google Wallet: what’s allowed and what’s not

Now that people have had some time to play around with it, it’s time to take a look at what’s getting people into trouble with Google Wallet. I combed through the relevant forums to see what’s allowed and what’s not, which is a fancy way of saying I cut and pasted a bunch of stuff people posted on the interwebs. As others have mentioned, it seems like you enter the danger zone somewhere around $1,000.

• Google wallet canceled my transaction of $3k due “unusual account activity.”  Anyone else have this problem?
• sent  $613 on the aa visa – went through finesent $3200 on ink bold on the 20th (wrote thats its for rent)
  still didnt go thru by today. I just called and after the csr chatting with her supervisor, she told me that they took care of it and it will go through.
  she asked me if it was for business or personal and i told her personal.
  its been 20 minutes, still showing as pending. will see what happens a bit later

  so i guess if ur sending money from a business card, be careful to keep the amounts low

• I sent 2.5K at one shot. Was pending for 3 days and it was cleared then.
• I sent someone yesterday under $300 and it cleared. Today I sent under $400.00 and it is pending.
• I sent about 950 today as a first to my wife and it cleared after a few minutes.
• I have already sent in excess of $3800 without issues. Only issue was a 1k payment that was processing for several days and there was an 1800 transfer to a bank that was pending for several days
• Used my spg to send 3k from my wife to me, now using sapphire to send 4k to a friend. No issues.

• FYI, under $1k (but close to $1k) transactions cleared almost instantly via diff credit cards, but my $1k transaction is still pending.
  
• $5, $450 and $850 cleared pretty quickly. Just did a $1200 and it’s pending for about an hour. Seems like $1k might be the magic spot.
• Just got my account and my wife’s activated the other day. I sent her over 4 grand as the first test (ha). It took 2-3 business days to clear. Just cleared now. Initiated withdrawal to her bank. We’ll see how many days that takes.
• Took 3 days to clear $1k, but high 3 digit payments went through pretty quick. Sent almost $3k in a day between the 3 payments.

• I’ve been doing A-B (Husband to wife)for almost a week…have transferred $1800 total over and taken the money out after a day or two…no issues…I always leave the money in for at least 24 hours before taking it out
• Well, I’ve worked my way up to $800 in a single transaction without any complications/problems/delays.
• I tried 4 different accounts, identities, email, ssn, bank account etc. But from same IP. Did a->b->c->d->a, sent maybe $500 to $1000 each transfer. Transfers were spread out over 2-3 days. Got the dreaded email.
