Upromise in-store deals: a few more worth consideration

I wrote about Upromise in-store deals a little while ago, and since then Trevor wrote about Ebates in-store deals and Doc covered all of the above.

I don’t have much to add other than that Upromise has added a few more stores for Upromise credit card holders. There’s now Budget Car Rental:

Earn 5% cash back for college at Budget Car Rental on all purchases (maximum cash back allowance $5 per purchase).

And AMC movies:

Earn 10% cash back for college at AMC Theatres on all purchases (maximum cash back allowance $10 per purchase).

They’ve also listed a discount for 15% off a Sears purchase of clothing or jewelry but that’s just a discount code open to everybody.

And as before, they still have a number of local establishments as well, though as with the national retailers it’s not enough as of yet to actually get me to take out my Upromise card and start using it. And compared to what Ebates has, Upromise’s in-store selection looks weak by comparison. But I’ll keep checking periodically in case that changes.
