We stumbled upon what appears to be an active link for a 50,000-mile BarclayCard credit card bonus in Lufthansa’s “Miles & More” program. If you click on the T&C on the app, you’ll see they promise 20,000 miles upon first use and 30,000 after $2,500 spend (assuming you are approved for the Premier version of the card). The annual fee is $79 and is not waived.
The last commentary we could find on this deal comes from mid-2011. Here’s View From The Wing (we’re actually using the application link from his post) a couple of years ago, here’s the relevant flyertalk thread, and here’s the M&M redemption chart.
We have no experience with this program, but from what we’ve read, it seems the best redemptions would be for flights on partner airlines, as is the case with Avios. It looks like domestic roundtrips would be 25,000 miles each. And if you read the footnotes at the bottom of the redemption chart, you can do U.S. to Europe for 50,000 miles, though watch out for the taxes and fees.
We have no idea if the link will work, or if Barclays will honor the deal if it does, so please print a screenshot if you’re going to apply. If anybody tries this, please comment below and let us know what happened.

The terms and conditions mentions They are accurate as of 01/31/2013, so it looks ok…. Too bad I don’t live in the US, else I would give it a try!
