UPDATE 8:40 PM: Almost 1,200 downloads! Thank you all!
Today’s post is going to be a little different on account of the fact that I wrote a book. It’s called I Love Banks: How to Increase Your Wealth and See the World with Credit Card Bonuses and Bank Freebies, it is available via Kindle only (though you don’t need to have a Kindle to download and read it), and it is FREE today and tomorrow. Amazon Prime customers can also borrow the book for free even after tomorrow.
First, a word about who this book is intended for: it’s aimed at beginners, and it’s written for people who haven’t necessarily heard of Fatwallet, Flyertalk, Frequent Miler, and the like. I’m sure some of you have friends who are curious about credit card points, travel hacking, and so forth but who aren’t inclined to spend hours trolling through the relevant blogs and forums to put it all together. I have such friends as well, and I wrote the book with them in mind.
So if you’re already churning UR points via Bluebird, great! But I don’t know how much you’ll get from the book, though if you do get something from it, I’d love to hear about it.
If, on the other hand, you have no idea what it means to “churn UR points via Bluebird”, then you may be in a position to learn something from this book. (Though I don’t give the topic of manufactured spend much more than a passing mention–like I said, I wanted to keep the guide simple and accessible.) I tried to write something that would enable any reasonably intelligent person to dip their toes in the credit card pool immediately after reading.
All of which is to say, if you or anybody you know might enjoy stepping up their credit card and bank bonus game a little bit, then please take a look at my book.
It’s short, only a little over 21,000 words, vs maybe 50,000-80,000 for a typical non-fiction book. There were so many more details I could have written, but I wanted to keep it short and err on the side of simplicity.
And that’s about all I have to say. Again, please consider downloading it even if you don’t have a Kindle, as you can still read it from your Amazon account. Also, if you happen to have an email list with hundreds of thousands of people who would enjoy reading this book, feel free to drop them a line and let them know about it. Or you could just stick it on your Facebook page, either way. And since as of right now I have no idea whether this book is even slightly helpful to anybody, I’m looking for feedback–feel free to leave a review on Amazon, email me, or leave a comment here. Thank you all!

Wow, thanks for writing this credit card book and having a free offer. I skimmed through it, and it’s a solid guide for beginners. You did address early on the skepticism that most people have about signing up for credit cards. That’s a hard barrier for a lot of people.
I was impressed with the depth of detail. You covered some banks and issuers I hadn’t even heard of.
P.S. I found out about this through Rapid Travel Chai’s blog.
