We mentioned Plink last month, but a deal which showed up in our inbox makes them worth mentioning again. Plink lets you earn points for dining at certain fast-food chains or going to certain movie theater chains, and those points can be exchanged for various retailers’ gift cards at the rate of one cent per point. So far we’ve earned a $5 Amazon gift card with no effort aside from the initial sign-up.
Plink has just added a new travel section where you can get extra points for booking Priority Club hotels. You need to book at least $100 worth of hotel rooms, but Plink effectively gives you 10% back (1,000 Plink points, worth $10 in gift cards).
But wait, there’s more:
- If you book before February 15, you get double Plink points, so that’s $20 in gift cards back on your $100.
- Not only that, but Priority Club is running a deal where you can get a $50 gift card to a variety of retailers (Target, Home Depot, Amazon, etc) with two stays at Holiday Inn, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, or Hotel Indigo, OR only one stay at Staybridge Suites or Candlewood Suites.
So putting it all together, if you book a Staybridge Suites or Candlewood Suites room for $100, you can get back $70 in gift cards, not to mention 500 PC points if you’re using a Priority Club credit card. Note that you have to click through from Plink, so no stacking with other portals.
If you’re interested in signing up for Plink, use my referral link and I’ll be 100 Plink points closer to retirement.
