I thought it might be fun to record on a weekly basis my haul of swag, to do this I will use a spreadsheet to track and keep it updated as I implement strategies to bring more wealth and free stuff into the family ecosystem.
I will be tracking the following:
- Airline Miles and Hotel Points
- Cash Back and Rebates
- Capital Gains from Equity Trading
- Capital Loss Harvesting
As there is always a delay between implementation of a new Haul strategy and receiving the points or Cashback I will post twice a week, once on what I did that week and once again with a pure numbers update.
This week I did the following things to increase the Haul
- I bought a CD for $4770 with a Credit Card netting 4770 Miles and 90 day interest at 0.64%
- I opened a Citibank Savings account fro $100 for a bonus of $25
- I bought $54 worth of FAR items from Staples
- I recycled 17 ink cartridges for $34 at Staples
- I bought a money order at the Post Office for $974 and earned 484 Airline Miles
- I loaned $150 on Zidisha with an average APR of 5% (1.5% after costs), funded by Credit Card for 150 points
- I sent and received $1500 via electronic payments (to myself) via Credit Card for another 1500 points
I didn’t do any loss harvesting or option trading this week, the stocks I am following are moving so erratically that I am scared to mess up so letting them run loose for a while now, will have to revisit that soon so I don’t leave anything on the table.
How was your haul this week?
