It’s that time again! Time to put this summer of Camp Mom and Camp Mom redux to rest and time to start planning next summer! Since this was an odd year, Camp Mom ruled. In the even years, Camp Dad takes over with a visit to his side of the family and I get those days to spend whatever miles and points I’ve been able to accumulate over the past two years on a trip on my own.
This year Camp Dad will take place over two weeks in August 2014. Since I did 2012 and 2013 in Europe, I’m really thinking Asia for 2014 as I haven’t been back since pre-deal Kids and I miss it dearly. I lived in Bangkok and Beijing and had my SEA on a shoestring adventures. But I’m certainly open to other ideas!
Here are my parameters:
Dates: 12-14 days, starting 3 August 2014 from Seattle F2B Sessions.
Out: Bali, India/Bangledesh/Nepal (Maybe a different trip, but too much for solo right now), Central America/Mexico/USA/Carribean/Canada (Too close), Ireland (2 weeks in 2013), Spain (2 weeks in 2012), Egypt.
Considering: Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Macau, Hong Kong, Southern China (Shanghai, Guangzhou), Dubai, South Africa, Italy, Eastern Europe TBD…
Costs are pretty much open at the moment as I’m flush with miles and points.
The world is my oyster…where do I start? And do you want to come along?
sounds great. I love kids. Maybe I’ll go with you!
I welcome friends, but this one will be Kid-Free!
Just flipped thru a back issue of Afar and stumbled upon a blurb about Vietnam’s first single-origin chocolate, Marou Faiseurs de Chocolate. Something to keep in mind if you find yourself traipsing thru the Mekong Delta.
Ooooh, French Colony + South East Asia. May be a winner.
