The Deal Kids are getting spoiled…and so am I. As if almost a month in Europe wasn’t enough, we’re off in 9 days for 10 days in Las Vegas. This last minute trip is an oblication, but we’re fortunate enough to have Deal Aunt live in a place we love to visit! As Deal Dad said, play the world’s smallest violin for me…
Again it’s just me and the Deal Kids, and to make it extra fun (and cheap) I’m taking them on the “Las Vegas Pool Tour”: 2 nights each in five different hotels with amazing pools!
How is this making the trip cheaper? By leveraging promotions, I was able to lower the cost of each individual stay, including making some nights free after room credits and the first two nights entirely free!
I’ll share all of the details in further posts, but have already talked about two:
- jetsetter deal that got us 2 nights at the Hard Rock (above) 100% free. Be sure to log into your account (or sign up, thanks if you use my invite link) to check for your free credit.
- Ebates/Travelocity/AMEX Triple Dip (only 2 days left on this one!)
I’ve gotten two questions when I have mentioned this trip to friends:
Vegas with Kids? Yes! We have done it many times. Between the Fremont street light show to the dancing fountains to the crazy architecture to yes, the pools, the Deal Kids LOVE Las Vegas.
Vegas in AUGUST? Yes! Have you been to DC in August? It’s MISERABLE! If I’m gonna be hot, I might as well be hot soaking in a million gallon grotto rather than swatting mosquitoes in 97 percent humidity. Even after airfare (which I got a deal on, too), it’s definitely cheaper than Mid-Atlantic beaches, with no threat of hurricanes!
BTW…if you’re wondering when I’m going to recap Camp Mom part 1 (European Vacation), I have a notebook with ideas for 52 blog posts and counting!
You really are amazing! What a fabulous trip for you and your kids. Looking forward to hearing details.
Hi Denise,
Thanks, but no, just your average stay at home mom who also happens to be a travel and points junkie! Actually, I’m coveting your trip to Italy…haven’t made it there, yet;)
