Have you done the Hyatt/Mlife Match? Check your email for a possible FREE CRUISE!!

Woot!

Woot!

I started seeing rumblings on Twitter from some of my favorites that Noir MLife members invited via Hyatt were getting emails with a free cruise from Royal Carribean. I knew Noir was WAY out of my league, but as a Hyatt Diamond who had recently status matched to Mlife Platinum and returned from Vegas, I was hoping for at least a coupon.

Well, MLife came through, big time! Today I got an email titled “Cruising. Your Newest M life Benefit.” I was thinking it would just be a reminder that I would get bonus points with Royal Carribean, maybe 10% off, etc., but NOOOO…it’s a FREE CRUISE!

free cruise

So now I’m frantically checking both the Deal Kids’ school calendar and the RCCL calendar to see which dates match.

I’ve heard from an Mlife Sapphire member that their email was a $100 coupon. If you’ve gotten a different offer, please share!

2 lessons to be learned:

1. Twitter. Twitter. Twitter!
2. Don’t delete your “junk” email!

Have you seen this email yet? Can you use it? Friends of Deal Mommy Cruise, anyone?

Please report back if you investigate this further. I am interested in what you find out. I have received these offers from M Life in the past and have found out that free isn’t really “free”. A typical 3-day Bahamas cruise can be found on most cruise websites or RCs website for $199 each for two people plus taxes (the $199 includes port charges). When you book the free cruise you have to pay taxes and port charges. Which brings the price to over $100 each. Then if you add additional people, even children, that adds to the price. In my experience free means a discount of about 25-35%. Not exactly free, but still a discount. I haven’t checked in awhile, so I am curious as to how the offer would work out now.

      Hi Kijo,
Thanks for the feedback. I was indeed dubious when I saw the offer, but upon calling was pleasantly surprised. The thing that sold me was the fact that they booked you into an window cabin. Also, you could use it on ANY 3 day cruise that had availability.

I booked mine to go over the New Years break and while I did pay port charges, taxes and gratuities, the total came to $215 for 2 people, compared to $1419 on the website. I’ll take it and leave the kids with their Grandparents!
