The Deal Mommy’s Guide to Orlando: There are ways to save on tickets!

This is one of a series of posts relating to how to save going to Orlando and Disney World. The first post is about how to save on lodging on transportation.

My single best tip is, now matter how you choose to buy, BUY YOUR TICKETS ONLINE IN ADVANCE. Both Disney.com and Universal offer their best prices online as they know that you’re captive once you get to the gate. Both offer e-tickets, so you don’t have to worry about them getting to you on time or getting lost…you can even print them from your hotel.

If you have time, I suggest stocking up on gift cards, especially for Disney. They can be found for up to 10% off, and can be used both for tickets and at the parks.

If you just want to buy the tickets and go, I suggest Best of Orlando. I’ve used them before and have always saved money. As an example, I have a friend who is heading to Universal with two adults and two kids. At the gate, she will pay $722 for four park to park tickets. At Universal.com, they’re $598, but with Best of Orlando, they go down to $540! That’s a total no-brainer.
