Using Virgin Atlantic Miles

I'd like to use my 108,119 mile balance to Virgin to go to either Europe or Australia on one of their partners.

1. I'd like to use Delta since it would be 100,000 miles round trip in B/F. Does anyone know if the award has to the the "lowest" level for Virgin to book it?

2. What is the chart like for traveling on Virgin Australia using Virgin Atlantic miles? There is no award chart on the website.

3. Has anyone redeemed Virgin America award miles for partner travel and how was your experience?

I called in to check on Virgin Australia after VA removed fuel surcharges, and the agent was ready to issue a ticket. Seemed like it would be very smooth. I think @tmount did book on VA with VS miles. This post might help.
