Are there any programs which allow you to transfer points/miles into SPG points?

Membership Rewards do, but they are awful on the exchange rate. SPG are my favorite points because they are worth so much, and they are the most annoying because they are the hardest to earn!

Amen to that Matt. Do you know the exchange rate by chance?

1000MR = 333 SPG.

They have transfer bonuses intermittently, but it is still very poor.

Bonuses usually get you 1000 MR = 500 Starwood points. Since 20000 Starwood points equal 25000 miles at several airlines you could argue that the exchange gets you 625 miles on an airline like AA which is not a MR partner.

Diner's Club transfers to Starwood at 1250:750. If you have the Elite Card, you can earn 3x at Drugstores, which would effectively be 1.8x earn for Starwood. Technically this is a better earn rate than the Starwood card. Now only if all the problem with applying for the card and using the card would disappear.
