Hey guys,
Trying to help a friend of mine with an award booking. He's got a stockpile of UA miles and needs to get from SFO to KUL in business. He's not interested in maximizing their routing rules (kills me too) and wants to get their as quickly as possible with the fewest amount of stops. Burns 480k UA miles if my math is right.
The 1 stop routing is SFO-NRT-KUL with UA biz transpac and ANA on NRT-KUL. All SQ routings require 2 stops. They might be interested in an ICN stopover. That could bring Asiana and 2 stops back into the fold.
I can help him out with the routing but how far out do you think he needs to book to get 3 business seats all the way through? Any advice/tips would be great. I've never tried booking more than 2 seats at a time. Thanks!
