Selling MR points

I am planning on selling a decent chunk of my MR points. Does Amex have any safe guards in place to notice large redemptions to other people? In this case, I would transfer 100,000 points to a non-family member.

Who has sold MR points and has some experience/ideas on the topic?

I've sold in those numbers and never had an issue, I think you should be fine.

I did do a transfer of 100000 MR to Avios (to my own BA Avios account!) and they called me to make sure that it was me who requested the transfer. But other than that, no issue.

I have 60k I'm debating about selling...

I have never sold, but reports I have seen seem to flag accounts that are doing a lot of transactions rather than a small number with high volume.

I have been selling for years in larger numbers and never had a problem.
