Despite months of hounding, my friend dragged ass on selecting dates for his bachelor party. Now that they're set, I'm stuck figuring out how to work in award travel. I'd love to leave Wed, 2/3 and return on 3/7.
Points inventory: Plenty of MR/SkyMiles/TYP/AA/BA, 50k Alaska, 30k SPG.
Departing: there is nothing direct. Alaska does LAX>SJO MWFS. There looks like there is an economy seat available. The flight is early though; so while I'd like to book on AA, I can't do a stopover from the night before.
Return: That Alaska route doesn't run on Sunday. Considering staying an extra night in San Jose by myself. That Alaska flight gets back late, after any connection from LAX>SAN. So I'd have to do another stopover. Furthermore, there is only a biz seat available according to AA, but according to Alaska there isn't anything.
I'm kind of lost. Hope you routing gurus can give me some sage advice.
