Ralph's is a Kroger subsidiary/brand, and Kroger is running the same deal right now. Can't confirm if the Catalina coupon prints with the purchase of just one gift card, but 2 works like a charm...

Make sure the cashier's secondary Catalina coupon printer is working. I was the victim of hat unfortunate circumstance today. Obviously since the $5 coupon is only supposed to be awarded for the purchase of 2 cards, I can't seek any sort of retribution on my purchase.
