I have been visiting New York City since I was a kid myself, and now it is my kids’ favorite place to go for a fun family weekend. We have done lots of the expected New York City activities and attractions, yet there is still so much left to do. I haven’t (yet) written about even a fraction of our NYC experiences, although I have had a long post in the works for a while now. I also haven’t (yet) won the lottery, so we try to keep expenses down as much as we can in one of the most expensive places ever.</p><p></p><p>With the upcoming Club Carlson credit card devaluation (which you can read more about <a href="http://www.pointswithacrew.com/the-irony-of-club-carlson-devaluing-while-im-using-my-free-last-night-award-at-club-carlson/">here on Points with a Crew</a>), I have booked a BOGO weekend at the <a href="http://www.radisson.com/new-york-hotel-ny-10001/nynewyrk">Radisson Martinique on Broadway</a>. The hotel itself gets mixed reviews, but we are excited to give it a try. It is a fantastic value with the ‘buy one get one free’ nights using Club Carlson points (I wrote about that as one of my favorite credit card features <a href="http://saverocity.com/theamericantravelproject/2014/04/27/club-carlson-visa/">here</a>). We are using 75,000 Club Carlson points, which are easy to earn. This will get us 2 nights in a club level room that would cost us $947.94.</p><p></p><p><a href="https://saverocity.com/theamericantravelproject/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2015/04/Radisson-Martinique.jpg"><img src="https://saverocity.com/theamericantravelproject/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2015/04/Radisson-Martinique.jpg" data-url="https://saverocity.com/theamericantravelproject/wp-content/uploads/sites/20/2015/04/Radisson-Martinique.jpg" class="bbImage " style="" alt="" title="" /></a></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Our plan for the weekend, depending on the weather, is to spend some time running around <a href="http://www.centralparknyc.org/">Central Park </a>(where my husband proposed to me lots of years ago).
