Mlife offer weirdness

Noticed something odd since the website redesign:

Each site now looks similar, but each site has a unique offer, distinct in my case from mLife.

Example:

Mlife.com offers me 3 nights Aria SkySuites + $500 freeplay + $250 resort credit

Aria.com offers me the choice of the Skysuites offer, or to take a regular room + $600 free play + $300 resort credit

Screen Shot 2016-07-04 at 3.47.01 PM.png

MGMgrand.com offers me no offer (just returned from there, so maybe I used that one)
Screen Shot 2016-07-04 at 3.46.40 PM.png

Mandalay Bay (never stayed there) offers $600+300

Screen Shot 2016-07-04 at 3.47.34 PM.png
Excalibur and Luxor offer $600 and $800

Just something to think about for those with mLife offers - each site is different, from what I see they split into 'fancy' hotels and 'not so fancy' hotels with the offers. It also implies you could cash in a series of them.

I got a rock, despite being Platinum and having a half dozen MLife property stays so far this year

Maybe because I take advantage of the FHR benefits and don't gamble at all. Can't say I blame them. Funny how they prefer gamblers or at least people that they think will.

These offers are roughly 20% of your theoretical for the cash part. So they are thinking you are going to lose something like $2500/trip. For MGM properties they don't care as much about actual loss, but on the high end things like actual loss and a huge ass credit line may get you better negotiated benefits.

If you talk to a host, you could probably come into whichever hotel you wanted and get the same benefits every weekend as long as you maintained your level of play.

You probably got an offer for $1000 in gift cards or free play in August...

Have an upcoming business trip to Vegas, would it be possible to get an offer like this during the trip to then use for the weekend or is that too soon?

If you have a history with the casino, or with Mlife places, you can always call up a host and ask if they can get you something. If you have an offer at another casino, you can ask and they may match it. Look at the website and find a host to ask by name. Call to see when they are on duty. That is almost always better than the random low level host who would get your phone call. Or email. You have nothing to lose.

There's two things you can get:

Upfront Comp (an offer via email or otherwise prearranged)
Earned comp during trip

Upfront Comp can be increased via earned comp, eg If you have an offer for $600/300 upfront you could earn $100 and it be worth $600/400. If you don't have an upfront offer you only have the earned aspect.

The earned comp is what I created in my first attempt at the mlife gig and I earned about $800 or so if you include the free room, food, and spa.

Anybody have data points on a comp'd stay getting Hyatt stay credit still? Just booked 5 nights and MLife gave me two free through my September offer.
Cannot seem to find any data points if I can expect credit for my paid nights or all nights through Hyatt if any at all. Thanks

I didn't get them but they had trouble adding that my Hyatt number.

Given that it is a mixed cash and comp stay, I'd say maybe. Suggestion shorthand is to ask Hyatt be added at check-in and check-out, get email of folio at checkout, wait a full 30 days to see what posts, email mlife with folio copy asking for points/nights.

Be prepared to lose the comp nights but you earned the points for spend and paid nights.

Thanks guys. Counting on my paid nights for this 75k points promo and my Diamond renewal status or I might be a little more rogue with gaining some data points.
The free nights were contingent on any additional stay so I might call back and just have them make two reservations for me or move hotels after my free nights just for a clean points clean up.

Also, appreciate you writing up about MLife Math on the blog. I changed my strategy up a bit and have started getting far better offers outweighing the extra I am losing.

FWIW, my points/stay have posted properly over three stays at the Delano but always required email post stay emails at Signature and Bellagio.

If you are looking at diamond re qualification, the extra stay from hotel hopping could be a value. Also, look at benefits from AmexFHR and Chase LHR as well as Mlife if you hotel hop. They add real value to one night stays. I use FHR at Delano/Bellagio and LHR at Signature.

Thanks for the tip. I don't have AMEX Plat. so no AMEXFHR for me.
My g/f has it and the rates seem to be very high compared to what MLife offer me through the site.

I am actually getting Diamond on nights and just added another trip to my schedule so a little less worried about these posting. I have had luck getting my MLife stays to post from this year but these are my first comp'd nights.

A tip, the "$20 trick" has paid out 5x for me when not asking for a room upgrade but MLife comps. $100 Food/Bev credit seems to be the minimum I am given when asked to make up for my lack of AMEXFHR bonus.

Just a follow up, I did get Hyatt stay credit for my complete trip including my comp'd night.
Did nothing more than verify that Hyatt number was on reservation.
