Ink 70K Offer

The Ink cards will be bumping to a 70K signup bonus beginning this Sunday (for a limited time). It seems tho that the annual fee will not be waived the first year, which may be problematic for getting old cards matched to this offer.

Great news. We have IB and IP now, both have been open >24 months. Anxious to see if the wife and I can get another round of Ink cards and snag 70K x 4.

That would be nice! In the future they don't need to be opened so long to get the bonus again, the rule with chase cards is, if you get approved you get the bonus. Cards from chase attached to FF programs would need a new FF#. My wife and I are each on our 5th SP for the year.

You've been approved for 5 SP's in on year?

Are all 5 open, or do you close them early?

It is currently available for the Ink Plus, in a branch, but everyone who SMd so far to get matched was successful. The best way to do it is to apply for the 50K this way you avoid the annual fee and SM for a match! Follow me on twitter where we are first in breaking CC news, link is in my signature.

I have seen reports for people that got the 60k point offer recently are getting matched to 70k through SM. Has anyone seen reports of people who recently got a 50k point offer getting matched to 70k?

I haven't but it's worth asking via SM. Worst that happens is they say no.

So far everyone I know was matched! Even on the IB even though the offer is officially for the IP.

Denied a match on Ink Bold opened late May. Said offer only good for IP and that their "response was the same for all members" or something like that.

Sorry to hear, I heard other reports as well. Kudos to those that got in early! I've also heard reports of them denying a match on the Plus as this product is considered different as the AF is not waived the first year.

Those who got in on the match early were lucky. Sucks that they took forever to respond.

Seems that CSP inquires are much quicker than my Freedom/Bold.

I received an Ink Plus card about three weeks ago with the 50k point offer. Got a reply to my SM saying that since the 70k offer doesn't waive the first annual fee, the best they can do is give me an extra 10k points (which was applied immediately).

Denied the bump as well. Perhaps I didn't word my request properly? See correspondence below.

Dear -------,

Thank you for contacting Chase about your credit card
account.

We appreciate the opportunity to ensure you receive any
promotional offers available for your account.

The new offer provides 70,000 bonus points after spend of
$5,000.00 on purchases in the first three months from the
account open date however the offer does not provide an
annual fee waiver of $95.00 for the first year. The offer
you were booked into is a different offer of 60,000 bonus
point after spend of $5,000.00 on purchases in the first
three months and no annual fee in the first year.

So you are getting the benefit similar to 70,000 points as
you have received an annual fee waiver of $95.00 for the
first year.

If you have any further questions, please reply using the
Secure Message Center.

Thank you,

I noticed an increased sign-up offer of 70K bonus miles
after $5000 in three months for this card. I received a
60K bonus last month but wanted to see if it would
possible to upgrade me to the 70K bonus offer.

Thank you for taking my request under consideration.

Also denied a match last night, due to annual fee being waived. Annoyed because I sent the SM on Thursday, when I told my brother-in-law, who got in on the 50K deal (I got in on the 60K deal) and he called them, and he got 70K. He was making fun of me for not calling and relying on SM, now I am regretting my laziness.
