Chase Ink Plus had a recent offer of 70,000 points that required applying at a Chase branch. If you weren't aware or couldn't apply in a branch due to location, there's still hope!
I followed some great advice from http://milesforfamily.com and contacted Chase through their online secure message system to ask for the better offer. They were quick to respond. They stated that the 70k offer did not include a waiver of the $95 annual fee for the first year, but the 50k offer I applied under waived the fee the first year. They followed up with a statement that they were pleased to grant me 10k UR in response to my request and I will still have my annual fee waived the first year!
Bottom line 10k UR for following some advice and asking politely in one quick message.
