Barclay Arrival+ seemingly random replacement card

Hi,

Logging in to my Barclay account today, I was asked to activate a new card, and given the following message:

Important Alert
We identified that your card may be at risk for fraudulent use. To protect your account, we are sending you a new card with a new account number. Until it arrives, please continue to use your current card. Remember, our $0 fraud liability policy means you're not responsible for unauthorized charges that you report to us.​

I wonder which data-breach caused this. I'd used it online at Sears and Kmart, and it's been used in store at Target. Anyone else get it?

Could be Home Depot breach, my Sallie Mae card (issued by Barclays) was reissued without any reason in the same way. Didnt think much of it.

Yep, same thing with mine. I was kind of startled when it asked me to activate the card but then got an email letting me know they were sending out new cards.
