Amex premium roadside assistance

As some of you may know the prg , personal plat, business reward gold, business platinum, amex cards have premium roadside assistance.

Premium roadside assistance- offers towing up to 10 miles, pop a lock, winching, and 2 gallons of emergency gas.

We'll my my family frequently loses their keys, so I thought I used up the 4 services I'm allowed per year. But upon further research I found out that you get 4 services per card not per card member.

And also au cards also have 4 individual services attached to their card. From what the rep told me, but we haven't tried it yet. This can add up to allot of free roadside assistance and replaces AAA for me.

Do you know if the cardmember needs to be in the car?

Ie - if SO isn't a AU and there's an issue could they get the tow?

Tc states the card member needs to be present.

But in reality that's never mattered, and family has always been there
