I just stumbled upon this as I was looking for some flights. If you have unused AirTrain A+ credits after November 1, they will be automatically converted into Rapid Rewards Points. It doesn't specify the rate at which they will be converted, but I'd assume it's the current standard of 1 A+ credit to 1200 RR points (a pretty poor rate). So, best to redeem for higher priced awards or do the transfer back and forth trick before then.
