9X Portal Bonus for Sears
Right now there is a nice 9x portal bonus for Sears through the AAdvantage portal.
9x becomes 19x..
As we know, most portals including AAdvantageeshopping specifically allow points for Sears gift card purchases in the terms and conditions. So… 9x becomes 18x and assuming you get at least one point on your credit card, you get 19x!
19x becomes over 25x..
AAdvantageeshopping also has a new general portal promotion – “It’s raining miles!”.
The gist of it is you can get up to an extra 3.21428571 points (no, that number is not pi, but go ahead and check it anyway if you want) by spending money in the portal.
If you buy a gift card for $350, and then went back for shopping through the portal again, you would double the effective points payout to 6.4. Add the 19 from above, and 25.4 miles per dollar!
Now what to buy…
You could spend some time scouring the Sears website for things to buy and resell at a profit. You would likely never get that time back… Sears online shelves are nearly devoid of bargains. Most points deals are gone, and the hot deals are generally neither…
